What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to reshape the nose for both cosmetic and functional improvements. It can be performed to:

  • Enhance nasal shape and symmetry for a more refined look
  • Reduce a dorsal hump or bulbous tip
  • Narrow or augment the nasal bridge for better proportions
  • Improve breathing function by correcting a deviated septum or nasal obstruction

Every rhinoplasty procedure is highly personalised to achieve a harmonious, natural look that complements your overall facial features.

Who Should Consider
a Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is ideal for individuals who:
  • Are unhappy with their nose shape, size, or symmetry
  • Have a flat or wide nasal bridge and want better definition
  • Want to correct a hump, bulbous tip, or drooping nasal tip
  • Experience breathing difficulties due to nasal structure issues
  • Desire a proportionate, natural-looking nose that enhances their facial harmony
At SW1 Plastic Surgery, we offer personalised treatment plans to ensure your nose reshaping surgery aligns with your goals and natural features.

Types of
Rhinoplasty Procedures

Cosmetic Rhinoplasty

Designed to improve the nose’s appearance by refining size, shape, and structure. Common techniques include:

  • Dorsal hump removal – Smoothing out prominent nasal bridges
  • Tip refinement – Reshaping a bulbous or drooping nasal tip
  • Bridge augmentation – Defining a flat or low nasal bridge, common in Asian rhinoplasty

Functional Rhinoplasty (Septoplasty)

For patients with breathing difficulties, this procedure corrects structural abnormalities such as a deviated septum, improving airflow while maintaining a natural appearance.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (Liquid Rhinoplasty)

  • Uses dermal fillers to enhance nasal contours without surgery
  • Ideal for minor refinements, such as lifting the nasal bridge or correcting asymmetry
  • Results last 6-18 months, making it a great alternative for those considering surgery in the future

Enhancing the
Asian Nose

A specialised field of expertise, one must first understand the unique features of the Asian nose:
Asian noses have cartilages that are smaller and softer (than Caucasian noses), causing the nose to appear flatter.
Asian noses tend to have a depressed nose bridge and a short columella, causing the tip of the nose to appear flatter.
Some Asian noses are relatively short, causing the nose to turn upwards and the nostrils to be seen more prominently.
Asian noses tend to have wider nostrils, causing them to appear flared.

What the
Hybrid™ Rhinoplasty
Offers

Raises the nose bridge
Refines the nasal tip
Reduces a wide nose base
Creates a smooth and natural nasal profile
To achieve this, a personalised implant is used to augment and elevate the nasal structure; ear cartilage is used to refine the shape of the nose tip; and finally, the base of the nose is reduced.
